Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, learn the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.
Avatar is back after a long awaited sequel. 13 years in the making, James Cameron is no doubt a perfectionist. Cameron has a reputation to delivered big blockbuster movies worth the wait. Now I can say he didn’t disappoint because Avatar The Way Of Water is jaw dropping beautiful. The VFX in this movie are just spectacular. There are so good, you forget you are watching CGI characters. Everything from characters, vehicles, animals and vegetation are perfectly rendered. The story is well-balanced and delivers plenty of actions. The soundtrack is relaxing as you feel like you’re in a spa. Performances are excellent, and I can say it is the best motion capture I have ever seen. Most importantly, you’ll have a good time at the movies. Avatar 2 is a great entertainment for the whole family. It is a spectacle worth seeing in IMAX 3D. Don’t miss it.
The 3-hour runtime may be too long for some. There are some moments that I was getting sleepy, not because it was boring, but because this utopian world makes it so relaxing. Also, the story is not an improvement over the first movie. It’s kind of the same, nothing original. Some characters needed more development. Some questions are not answered, but instead kept for future movies.
