Synopsis

In a brewing war between the gods of Olympus and the titans, Heron, a commoner living on the outskirts of ancient Greece, becomes mankind's best hope of surviving an evil demon army, when he discovers the secrets of his past.

The Good

Blood Of Zeus is Netflix’s newest animation from the same team that brought us Castlevania. This time, the subject evolves around the Greek mythology. I am a big fan of the Castlevania series and this, I can say, is as good or even better. The animation is good and pretty similar to their previous work. The voice acting is excellent. Every voice is perfectly cast to the characters. The story is well explained also. It is about, as usual, the journey of a human who discovers he’s a half god but this time they added some interesting elements. They’re showing us how gods are living in Mount Olympus and how they deal with adversity. The story takes its time to explain every aspect, which is great. But, the standout of this series is without a doubt the score. Epic is the word I would use to describe this soundtrack. The scale of this story is grandiose and the music makes you feel that way. Blood Of Zeus is just spectacular in every way. Indeed, this is a must-see for anime fans.

  • Great animation.
  • Excellent voice acting.
  • Great story.
  • Excellent pacing.
  • Outstanding music.

The Bad

A powerful sword is created but didn’t have any impact in the story. Also, I thought Zeus could’ve been depicted much stronger.

  • Sword wasn’t really useful.
  • Zeus is kinda lame.
