Synopsis

A woman wakes in a cryogenic chamber with no recollection of how she got there, and must find a way out before running out of air.

The Good

This new movie from Alexandre Aja is a good surprise. We’ve seen a similar concept in the movie Buried starring Ryan Reynolds, but this one is better. The acting by Melanie Laurent is excellent. She gives all the nuances and desperation of what is like being stuck in this situation, good job! The setting is quite simple but works. The story keeps  you enough engage, so you are never bored. Viewers will get emotionally involve in this story and that’s a good thing. You are constantly stressed, and some events will keep you intrigued. VFX are on point, nothing spectacular but good enough. Oxygen is a perfect low-budget thriller for the whole family. Good dialogue, good story and great acting. I recommend.

  • Good Story.
  • Good performance from lead.
  • Good dialogue.

The Bad

Despite all the good things, this movie is a little predictable. I manage to almost figure out the whole story within 30 minutes in. A movie of this kind is very difficult to mislead and keep the viewer guessing, but still, they should’ve made an effort.

  • Predictable.
