Oh so quiet...

Synopsis

Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

The Good

John Krasinki is back again with the sequel of the 2018 hit A Quiet Place. I’m really impress on how Krasinski learned so fast how to direct a movie. It’s only his third featured, and it seems he’s been doing this for so long. This sequel starts immediately after the first part, but this time, you get flashbacks on how everything started. The directing is just excellent. All the camera sequences are well put together and the pacing is on point. You are never bored, and the tension is spread throughout the entire movie. All characters are back, and new ones are introduced. They did a good job not showing how much the kids have grown since the first movie. The story is practically the same, but with more action. I definitely recommend A Quiet Place Part 2. It is a better and more balanced version of the first movie. Can’t wait for the third instalment.

  • Great tension.
  • Great directing.
  • Good pacing.
  • Good action.

The Bad

We learn nothing new about the origins of the aliens. It’s basically the same aliens we see from the first movie. Also, the ending was a little to abrupt for me. It didn’t feel like an ending, and I was hoping for more after it.

  • Nothing new about the aliens.
  • Abrupt ending.
