According to Bruce Campbell himself (Ash in Evil Dead series), a new Evil Dead movie is coming. Unfortunately, this time Sam Raimi won’t be returning directing the movie. Lee Cronin (The Hole in The Ground) will be in charge and was personally picked by Raimi. No confirmation on if Bruce Campbell is returning, but we can say it’s a no-brainer. The official title of the movie will be Evil Dead Now.
I’m a big fan of this horror comedy series and i hope they will keep the same tone. Combining horror with comedy is a difficult task to master. The remake from 2013 from Fede Alvarez was great and didn’t disappoint. I was excited to see a sequel from that version but it seems the studio moved on from that idea. No official date of release yet.
