The Batman trailer is finally here and it’s impressive! I was expecting nothing less from director Matt Reeves who did an amazing job on the Planet Of The Apes trilogy. At first, the movie seems to have a David Fincher vibe. A similar tone like Seven or Zodiac, which is good. I always thought The Batman story should be really dark because we sometimes forget that he’s a man traumatize by witnessing his parents deaths. So, it looks fantastic for now. The best part is when Batman destroys with authority this unknown thug, I love it! Batman is indeed an extremely aggressive superhero. I’m glad Matt Reeves didn’t shy away from the violence.
Let’s just hope the movie is rated R but I doubt Warner Bros. will allow it. Some minor negatives, I just don’t like his cowl/helmet. I think the ears are too straight, I’m nitpicking. And finally, I’m very skeptical with Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. I just think she has no charisma, maybe she’ll prove me wrong and I hope so. The Batman is expected October 1, 2021.
