Synopsis

Plot unknown. The project is described as an action epic revolving around international espionage.

The Good

TENET from Christopher Nolan is a unique movie. It’s a masterfully directed mind-bending story. The story brings you into a world of espionage entangle with time manipulation. The complexity of this story leaves you very intrigued and wanted to know more. The cinematography is just superb. Dialogues are smart and action sequences are very well shot even in reverse motion. The whole cast gives a very good performance. John David Washington does a very good job leading this movie. Robert Pattinson screen presence is always on point.

TENET is the typical Nolan movie with science driven conversations combine with grand scenery. An absolute watch for the Nolan fans.

  • Great cinematography.
  • Excellent production.
  • Great acting.
  • Great action sequences.

The Bad

TENET is maybe too ambitious for mainstream audiences. The story is so complex, you need multiple viewing to just understand the main plot. I understand that Nolan’s wants to accurately craft a story about time but, it damages the viewing experience when people don’t understand what’s going on. Unlike Inception or Interstellar, scientific information is not well explained. The time-inversion concept is explained only in a small scene and never mentioned again. It creates a feeling that you have to get along with it without knowing how it really works.

Also, characters needs more development because you don’t really care about their fates in the end. Only the main villain motivations are elaborated. This movie is not Nolan’s best work but it’s still a great movie. I have a feeling that TENET may in time become a masterpiece once we fully understand every aspect of it.

  • Very confusing.
  • Needs multiple viewing.
  • Important concepts explained briefly.
