Synopsis

After he and his wife are murdered, marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine—'Bloodshot'. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility to get revenge, only to discover that there's more to the conspiracy than he thought.

The Good

At first, Bloodshot seems to be the typical Vin Diesel movie but it brings a little more to the table. Yes, the story is very linear and Vin Diesel is practically himself in every movie he makes, but i can say that the third act surprised me. The originality of this part of the movie gives a moment of intrigue that should’ve been the entire movie. Bloodshot has some interesting moments and cool action sequences. If Vin Diesel is your guy you should give it a try.

  • Good third act.
  • Good action sequences.

The Bad

On the other hand, it’s still a not very original movie. We have to agree that Vin Diesel is lacking charisma in general. He doesn’t deliver a stand out movie. Unlike the movie Pitch Black, which was awesome in my opinion, Bloodshot could have been a bad-ass character and interesting enough to create some sequels just like his other famous character Riddick. The movie is very predictable, the dialogue is terrible and supporting characters are laughable. Bloodshot was an unknown superhero and will remain so.

  • Typical Vin Diesel movie.
  • Very forgettable movie.
  • Terrible dialogue.
