Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, “Watchmen” embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
The Watchmen series on HBO is an exceptional follow up to the graphic novel from Alan Moore. Damon Lindelof masterfully crafted this story with elements from today’s society. Superb acting and great visuals makes this show a must-watch even if you’re not a fan of the graphic novel. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross gives a fantastic soundtrack on this comic book series. The techno grittiness of the music binds well with the genre. Regina King and the entire cast gives tremendous performances as well. Highly recommended.
The only small negative detail is that the story takes a while before it starts. You can get easily confused in early episodes.
