A dysfunctional family of superheroes comes together to solve the mystery of their father's death, the threat of the apocalypse and more.
Umbrella Academy is a unique show. It has a goofy vibe but stays grounded with serious themes. The production quality is great, the music is engaging and gives a joyful experience. The whole cast is just superb. Colm Feore is great as always and gives a very convincing performance as the father of the family. Umbrella Academy season 1 is a good show overall.
The story is a little convoluted. You have some trouble following the plot. Some side stories are not interesting and you just want to follow the main story. Some characters can get annoying.
Big improvement over season 1. The production and music are still top-notch. Casting is also great even with the new additions. Pacing is on point and there’s plenty of action throughout the season. You can feel that the writing as improve. All the performances are good and the new additions fits right in. The color sets are awesome and you really feel like you are in the 60s. Umbrella Academy season 2 is a way better experience than season 1. A must-watch.
Story is kind of similar to the first season. The whole “End of the world” problem can get old with time. Music can be invading in some scenes.
