Bombshell offers an in depth story of the Fox News sexual scandal. It shows you how this working environment was tense and unacceptable for women. Charlize Theron does a great job portraying the news anchor Megan Kelly. There is also Margot Robbie, who gives a convincing victim of those allegations. The movie itself is decently well-made. You understand the plot and dialogue are on point. Decent watch.
Despite Charlize Theron’s performance, the movie is lacking intrigue and heart. You feel that they didn’t reveal everything in the movie. They are probably playing it safe. Fox News is a huge news cast corporation in America but i feel this movie only scratch the surface on this scandal. Also, i just don’t understand the makeup & prosthetics they added on Theron & Kidman. Nicole Kidman’s makeup could be better. It looks so fake it threw me out of the movie every time she was on screen. I don’t understand why they didn’t just act without any of this, they are actors after all. The audience know that Theron is playing Kelly, you don’t need some special effect to cover that. It’s a strange choice by the producers.
