Synopsis

Mark Grayson is a normal teenager except for the fact that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop powers of his own and enters into his father’s tutelage.

The Good

Yet another superhero show! Invincible is the brand-new show from Amazon based on a comic book. What else can be done in the superhero genre? Well, Invincible manage to deliver a very intriguing and original story. What works so well about this show is the voice acting by J.K Simmons and Steven Yeun. They are incredible in their respective characters. You truly believe in their personalities. There is also plenty of action and quite a lot of gore. Every episode is well paced, and you are rarely bored. Invincible has a great story, great voice-acting, great action and pacing. This is an absolute must-watch. Don’t miss it.

  • Intriguing story.
  • Excellent voice-acting.
  • Great action and gore.
  • Very entertaining.

The Bad

The only flaw is that the animation sometimes feels like it was drawn by a 4-year-old.

  • Animation could be better.

The Good

Invincible will always surprise me. This show keeps getting better with awesome writing and great action sequences. Season 2 continues where it left off in season 1. It brings good humour and develops the story at a good pace. New characters arrive in the mix and creates new intrigues. The voice-acting is still excellent. Steven Yeun did a great job bringing more depth to the main character. Invincible season 2 is a great follow-up season and make us want more. I absolutely recommend.

  • Great action.
  • Great story.
  • Interesting new characters.
  • Excellent voice-acting.

The Bad

Despite its greatness, season 2 has an underwhelming final episode and doesn’t have the wow factor season 1 had. It’s a small detail, but season 1 was better in my opinion. I was expecting more out of it. Also, the terrible decision Amazon Prime took by splitting the season in 2 segments with a 4-month gap between is just nonsense. That mid-season pause took all momentum away from social media hype.

  • Doesn’t match season 1.
  • Underwhelming final episode.
  • Unnecessary mid-season pause.
