Synopsis

A mysterious place, an indescribable prison, a deep hole. Two inmates living on each level. An unknown number of levels. A descending platform containing food for all of them. An inhuman fight for survival, but also an opportunity for solidarity…

The Good

The platform is a unique movie. It’s a simple premise but very intriguing story makes it a good watch. This spanish movie uses metaphors to show current flaws of our society today. The gruesome display of food reflects on how sometimes good things is not always good for yourself. Cinematography is well crafted even if the entire movie happens in a single location.

  • Intriguing premise.
  • Good acting.
  • Good cinematography.

The Bad

Despite the good premise, this movie provides no explanation on anything. It leaves the viewer with interpretation. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that but it doesn’t give you an idea on what the movie is all about. No direction or closure is given throughout the movie. You don’t know who’s good or evil or what’s meaningful or not.

  • No closure on story.
  • Leave to interpretation.
